The Detroit River Coalton is the only binational environmental resource hub coordinating communities for the purpose of litter removal and protection of the shared Detroit River. Our vision is to bring together and provide a platform for researchers, universities, nonprofits, practitioners, environmentalists, artists and designers to be thought leaders and brainstorm tangible solutions for the region. We serve as a vehicle for solutions-based networking with a focus on single-use plastic pollution and microplastics as it relates to local, regional, and global effort for impactful collaboration and representation of the binational region.
