Christine A. W. (Cris) Doby

Cris Doby is a Program Officer with the Fred A. and Barbara M. Erb Family Foundation where her work focuses on environmental health and justice and nonprofit capacity building. She previously worked for the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation where her work focused on community organizing and democratic participation. Her background includes work in government, business, and the nonprofit sector. She worked as a community organizer in Detroit and as an international development advisor in Peru, Kenya, and Rwanda. Immediately prior to accepting her position at the Erb Family Foundation, she worked as a consultant to the U. S. State Department where she served as a trainer in grassroots democratic practice in several countries in Eastern Europe. Doby is graduate of the University of Detroit-Mercy (B.A., Philosophy and Political Science); Loyola College of Maryland (M.A. Adult Education), and Loyola University of New Orleans (M.A., Social Theology).
