Michelle Serreyn

Michelle started working for the DNR in March 2022 and has over 20 years in environmental and outdoor education. At the Outdoor Adventure Center, she develops and delivers educational and recreational programming to people of all ages and backgrounds. Partnering with other organizations is part of the OAC mission so they can bring the best of what Detroit offers to all their visitors and through outreach to the community. Michelle has been engaged in nature and conservation efforts in the city, working with Detroit Audubon, Friends of the Rouge, Sanctuary Farms and Arboretum Detroit. She is passionate about connecting people with nature and the outdoors. A proud Wayne State Warrior, she is also active with campus initiatives, including the President’s Standing Committee on Environmental Issues and the Detroit Biodiversity Network, a student organization that grows and installs native plants in community and campus projects.
